About Wendi Isaacson
Wendi Isaacson is a dance teacher, choreographer, and professional tap dancer.
Wendi Isaacson is a highly sought after tap dance performer, choreographer, teacher, and producer. She currently resides in Alpine, Utah. She trained extensively under Colleen West, and was an original member of her tap company "Foot Poetry" for over 10 years. She has also trained under Rusty Frank, Dianne Walker, Savion Glover, and more.

Wendi holds her degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she graduated with University Honors in English and Dance Teaching. While at BYU she performed in World of Dance and Homecoming Spectacular. As a senior she was selected as one of three students to represent Brigham Young University at the National Dance Festival in Tucson, Arizona.

Wendi is the Founding Artistic Director of Rhythm Nation Tap Company and Time Bomb Tap Company, both based out of Utah. She has directed the Utah Tap Fest since 2018. In 2019 she debuted her first full-length tap choreography, "A Very Jazzy Nutcracker," which is a full-length tap dance version of the Nutcracker set to jazz music. It has become an annual holiday favorite in Utah. She produces 2-3 tap dance concerts per year, which always sell out. Wendi loves to continue to push herself artistically and her latest tap production "Rhythm of the Lion"draws inspiration from the majestic spirit and pulsating beats of the savannah and the courage, unity, and beauty of the animal kingdom.

Wendi Isaacson is committed to learning and preserving historical tap pieces, and her tap company Rhythm Nation Tap Company has an extensive history of learning and performing historical tap works. Many of their performances can be found on their you tube channel.

Wendi's solo and team choreography is hugely successful in the dance competition world, and has won many awards at the state as well as national level.

Wendi is an adjunct faculty member at Brigham Young University and leads the BYU Tap Club. She coaches the tap students at several prominent Utah studios, including Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. She is often hired to teach at tap festivals all over the United States, as well as set choreography. Wendi is committed to teaching the highest level of technique, and inspiring her students to achieve personal bests every day.
