"Nothing to prove, everything to share."

The Student Showcase will take place Friday Night at 7:45 pm, and will be adjudicated by master dance artists. 

​

There will be a limited number of entries allowed, and will be registered on a first come first serve basis.  There is an entry fee to participate.  Performances will be critiqued on choreography, technique, execution, costume, staging, showmanship, and musicality. Location: COPA American Fork. Dancers will receive immediate live feedback from faculty in an intimate setting immediately after performance. All styles of dance are welcome, as well as solo, duo, trio, and group entries. Adults and kids both welcome to participate in this performance.

Performance Guidelines:

​

• All participants must be registered for the festival.

• All routines must be under 3 minutes.

• Categories: Tap, Musical Theater, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Clogging

• All ages and levels welcome.

• Email music 1 week prior to utahtapfest@gmail.com.  Bring backup music on phone/iPod.

Improv Performance

 

Take your tap dancing artistry to the next step: The next level of tap dance is improvised tap dancing.  Prepare a piece of music that is under 3 minutes long, bring it, and show up without prepared choreography.  This is called improvisation! Whether this is your first time performing improv, or you are a seasoned improv dancer, all entries welcome!  "Nothing to prove, everything to share."  This is a safe and nurturing place to learn and grow your art. Just love and applause from the audience--no critiques.

Registration will be limited.  No spectator fee--all are welcome to come and support!
